With an altitude of 1,489 feet this mountain pass offers an exhilarating drive with breathtaking views.

Ullswater Lake

Ullswater is the second largest lake in the English Lake District. You will have time for a short walk alongside the lake.

Aira Force

Aira Force is the most spectacular waterfall in the lake District, with the main force falling 70 feet beneath an old stone footbridge.

Castlerigg Stone Circle

This is a Neolithic stone circle in a very dramatic setting, sited as it is against the backdrop of the Lake District mountains High Seat and Helvellyn. It is potentially one of the earliest stone circles in Britain. Click here to find out more about Castlerigg Stone Circle.

Grasmere

This is a beautiful location with peaceful lakeside walks and a historic 13th century church. Grasmere has some interesting shops as well, including the famous Gingerbread shop and Barney's News Box with over 20,000 jigsaws for sale upstairs.

"I had a tour cancel on me at the last minute. Luckily, I was able to find and book David on short notice. He picked me up at my B&B right on time. He was polite, professional, and friendly, with great customer service skills. He was knowledgeable about the area and provided interesting bits of info as we went along.

There were snacks and water provided in a cooler, and David was eager to make sure I was comfortable and enjoying myself. He took me around to some beautiful areas with stunning views.

He offered to take multiple photos of me at scenic spots since I was traveling solo, which I very much appreciated. He also offered up suggestions on things I could on my free day like trails to walk, things to see, etc. It was a great tour! David is a very nice guy, and he will make sure you enjoy your visit to the Lake District.

I highly recommend him."
